Growers, Packers and Exporters PEAKfresh® Carton Liners. Long-distance shipping exposes fresh fruit and vegetables to ethylene gas, a powerful plant hormone that triggers the ripening process. PEAKfresh® is a mineral impregnated polyethylene film which absorbs and removes ethylene gas. It has excellent permeability and good deodorizing properties. Its anti-fog treatment helps maintain a high humidity environment, while minimizing condensation which can accelerate mold and bacteria growth and degrade carton integrity.

PEAKfresh® Carton Liners are available in .0009 mil in clear or color. Custom printing is also available.

Packaging For Herbs

We recommend that bunches of herbs be packed separately into individual PEAKfresh® bags that are sealed. For commercial packs of 10 or more bunches, the bunches should be packed lightly in a PEAKfresh® carton liner that is not sealed. Freshly harvested herbs should be washed and then placed on wire racks, or similar racking, in a cool room, preferably overnight to remove surface moisture before packing into PEAKfresh® Herbs for retail sale should be packed in Duo bags.
